Walked 3.1 miles this morning via the lake route with both doggies along.

We had an early morning due to me taking DH to work today. He has another follow-up appointment for his eye later today and will be dilated, so no driving afterward for him. I'll be his chauffeur from work to the appointment and then back home afterward. While he's being seen at the doctor's, I may be out shopping over on that end of town. Whatever happens, all I know is that my typical schedule is non-existent for today.

Yesterday, I tried out a new recipe for peanut butter cookies and peanut-butter-and-jam cookies. Not too bad, but more cake-y than I like for my cookies. I'm freezing some to see how that goes, as well.

Also yesterday, I went outside and raked and bagged up leaves. This is the third week I've filled 4 bags, but this week I also bagged up 3 larger bags with chopped/mulched leaves. And, the trees are nowhere near done dropping leaves, although 2 trees are 99.9% done. The exercise in the fresh air is a good thing, right? At least I was able to cajole DH into helping me bag up some of the piles. Rain is coming late today and/or tomorrow, so getting those leaves up and off the lawn is beneficial.

The peanut butter cookies sound yummy. Nice snack after all the leaf raking that you did.

PB Cookies...ummm, yummy! I would rake for cookies, especially if I didn't have to make them! I wouldn't really have guessed she would pick PB cookies either....nah, no way! LOL, really, what is it about peanuts lately? I can hardly leave the darn things alone! Glad you tried them out. Hope hubby's appt goes well! While you are walking, do you catch yourself looking at trees, trying to estimate how many bags they would fill up? LOL, this was a test...if you said yes, you need an IPOD or something!

Bren, if you find a pill or ointment or something to make us not love food so much, please buy me some too!

Buffy, I should have left the whole cookies thing alone. Between it being a "cookie" and the PB, well, it has just reawakened a sleeping ogre - and I don't mean Shrek!

Notfast, the idea of PB cookies was better than the reality, sadly. But, I have to at least try some new things, right?

GG, yeah, I probably should have just passed on the PB cookie recipe for now. I just keep on trying to see if maybe NOW I can handle those nuts and nut butters, but the resounding answer seems to be NO!! On the other topic...if I ever get to the point of estimating leaf drop as I walk, I think I'll start a lawn care business.
