LadyinDenim's Journal, 25 August 2016

Had my doctor appointment today. BP is 111/84, pulse 70. Was up 4.6 lb from last weigh in. Sleeping better and no longer constipated. Overall, less irritable, but still room to improve. Had potassium and CBC drawn.

Starting B6, P5P, Zinc, and Evening Primrose Oil. Should feel noticeably better in two weeks. Next visit is in six weeks.

P5P?

Good to hear you have had a diagnosis and can improve your health. Fingers crossed you'll have a new lease of life soon. I had my blood pressure taken last week 140/90! I think it was white coat syndrome (I hope). I was sent home with a blood pressure monitor a couple of years ago due to it being high, and it was normal at home. Who knows.

P5P is a readily bioavailable form of B6.

I should finish every post by saying, "Oliver, stay off my effing journal."

What's the Evening Primrose oil for?

I drink a great deal of water which seems to help my weight loss and over all state of health. I also take turmeric and D3 which helps my aching bones and energy level.

Or she could consult a licensed health professional. Oh, wait, she is one. And she's consulting a medical doctor, someone experienced at treating patients based on advanced medical training--someone who has reviewed her medical records and conducted a patient interview and physical examination, someone whose credentials she has been able to review and verify. And why would you say she doesn't want to stop eating, when she did a well documented, multi-day fast not long ago?

@lady "I should finish every post by saying, "Oliver, stay off my effing journal."" I literally "laughed out loud" when I read that, hahahahaha (I don't understand why he goes to all the time and trouble to just irritate people)

Oh, my goodness Denim Goddess - you have a nasty old know-it-all troll invading your journal! Just what a dieter needs, someone who is off their antipsychotic meds and in full rant mode. Girlfriend - lets view this in a positive way. We may be fat, but at least we have a real offline life. And weight loss is possible. And we're doing it! Cheers, eh!

I agree Ms. Rckc, Some people have nothing better to do than be idiotic. I wish to say that I am recovering from an illness in which the treatment was prednisone with a severe side effect of excessive weight gain. Since a slight comment regarding my own approach to MY OWN DIET, reviled your nasty remarks which are trite, and frankly, a disgrace to the goals of this website, I refuse to joust with such ignorance. I do not need your hateful remarks, and neither does any one who is coming to this site for support. I do not eat fats or any of the foods my family requests. I eat fresh fish and fowl, raw vegetables, no dairy, and drink a great deal of water. Everyone is different and require different diets to reach their goals.

Me and my belly rolls love you, Shazzeryyc! Kes, the Evening Primrose oil is an Omega 6 fat that is anti inflammatory. I know, Omega 6's are the ones from vegetable oils which we are not supposed to eat. Well, I avoid vegetable oil and all trans fats, so maybe I take them to balance the Omega 3 in the fish oil I take? Dona Kay, I started on weekly D3 50,000 units. I hope to see an uptick in my energy levels soon. I have heard great things about turmeric.

@Dona, I was responding to Oliver, the troll, not to you! I meant you no offense. Lady in Denim has since deleted Oliver's comments. I wish you well on your journey!

Keto, in itself, is anti-inflammatory...Interesting that you add it. I will research.

Kes, my CRP was high (indicating systemic inflammation), putting me at high risk for cardiovascular disease. She wanted to see how I tolerated the Omega 3s before she added the Omega 6.

Thanks for the added info. We are such a balancing act, with these bodies!
