Glad the fast is going so well. I go through stages where I'm a terrible sleeper doing exactly what you talk about here. I've learned enough to get out of bed when I feel really awake (something I didn't used to do) instead of twisting and turning. Sometimes now I actually find myself taking a shower at some crazy hour of the morning and it seems to help. I don't know if it's the warm water or just getting my mind off of the not sleeping, who knows. It is a drag though.

I find I sleep best when I've eaten simple carbs that day. They knock me right out. Am seeing a functional medicine practitioner on August 5, maybe they will recommend a supplement.

Melatonin is is great sleep helper. Tryptophan is another. I'm coming up on 48 hours, doing good. My boss brought in breakfast for everyone, pancakes and syrup and scrambled eggs with sausage. She's done Atkins, and know's what I'm doing, so I think she made the eggs for me. I hated to tell her that I'm doing this fast. She went out of her way for me, and they did look good! But I was steadfast, and didn't eat any, but thanked her for thinking of me, anyway.

Lady, I've been having good sleep help from a powdered magnesium supplement called, Calm. Bought it online, but they also have it at HolyFoods and other health food stores.

@Msk, what resolve! Tomorrow is the hardest of the five in my experience. We can tough it out ☺ Regarding supplements, I am going to wait. They might do bloodwork and I want to see wnere I'm at right now.
