Sandy701's Journal, 08 November 2011

Getting ready for my 3.1 mile walk as soon as I finish this journal entry. I was up way too early for that pound to have dropped.

Took DH in to work and took the doggies along for the ride - maybe not the best idea!! Both knew this was a change in routine so they were rather hyper all the way in. Sheesh!! Now, of course, I'll need to wake them up to go walking - I can't win!

I'm VERY hungry this morning. The melon and cheese stick helped but my tummy's still growling. I hope this isn't a foreshadowing of what the rest of the day's going to be like.....

Awww bless your heart..had to laugh about the doggies being hyper..they probably thought "Oh NO We Are Going To The Vet"...It wears them out...Hope you find something to stop the growling..have a great walk with your sleepy dogs....☺

Sandy, yesterday I spent a lot of time going over the Atkins book again.....I need to do something about my complacency........it has struck a cord with many......Happy not complacent Tuesday to you....

Yes, Bren, esp. with my Lab gal....she thought FOR SURE this was a trip to the vet! Once we stopped, dropped off DH, and headed for home, she only wimpered once. She figured out that our mission was done and Thank Heaven! it wasn't the vet!!! Doggies went the full 3.1 miles with me over by the lake; they're pretty tuckered out now.

Yvonne, isn't it amazing what we can glean from that book whenever we pick it up? I must have done that more times than I can count and there are STILL tidbits that I've forgotten. If you're back in the book a bit, you're doing battle with complacency! Happy Not-complacent-Tuesday right back atcha!

That is a mouthfull...Not-Complacent, plus I have a real hard time spelling it, for what ever reason! So, I will say Happy NC Tuesday to you! That poor pup of yours, dreading a visit to the vet, I take mine to the vet every now & then just to weigh in & get treats, she loves going there, but gets skittish when we go in the little room. So, next time I was thinking of making sure she gets to go in there & get treats, but no treatment!

Sandy did your dogs think they were going to the vet ? Shotzie does the same thing if I just take her for a ride, we just can't win !

GG....even with treats every time she goes, she just believes her little world is coming to an end. :(

Notfast, my Lab girl certainly thought nothing good was coming up. She really had no problems with going to a vet until she had her cardiac workup a couple years ago (medium grade heart murmur at 4 years old at that time). The whole thing was non-invasive, but she didn't like all the handling and equipment. :(
