What a dust & rain storm yesterday and last night. Dust storm didn't really hit Picacho too bad, windows closed & A/C on. But last night the wind really picked up, don't know wind speed, but house vibrated, bed vibrated & rain. The mountain side of the park lost electricity about 10:15pm, and didn't come back until 3:15am... when lights go out on the mountain it's really, really black !!!!!
Walked around part of the park, doesn't look like anybody had any damage, some peoples yard art was blown over, a few plastic buckets blew away, the lids on the trash dumpsters were blown open, but don't think any roofs or carports sustained any damage !!! When the wind comes over the mountain top it sounds like a train coming thru your house !!!
Also last night about 6:20pm myself & few neighbors watched the space shuttle fly over Picacho. Totally awesome, going 17,500 miles per hour and 220 miles from earth ! Another first for me :)
Should be a beautiful day, around 65 today. Desert smells fresh after a rain, so all's good today :)
