Hmm thats a toughie.. When I cut out the grains (breads cereal pastas etc) my meals became some meat and veggies. I have fruit along with my meals too. Thats usually what I eat. Would you eat seafood? Or fish? Cant say they smell better but are so healthy for you... Problem is if you reject meat...and just stick with veggies and fruit. you need to find other sources of protein to help keep/build your muscles.

Like beans and lentils are good options, if dairy doesn't effect you- you can enjoy full fat greek yogurt. A serving if about 20g protein and has good fats to keep you full. Then you can add fruit to the greek yogurt.

Try wraps instead of bread - you get the sensation of eating carbs without so much guilt. These can be used in a variety of ways. Also my solution to cheese was to buy a really intense aged cheese (24mth aged) so a little goes a long way. Make easy wrap toasties= place chives, diced onion, and 50grams of grated or crumbled cheese on on side of the wrap then fold the wrap over to create a the 'sandwich' toast in a panini maker or flat sandwich press. delicious crispy on the outside and melty in the middle. I use this for a healthy lunch option

Well, simply put and to the point. Start eating meat and stop eating bread and pasta. lol. Im not even trying to be funny. That's my real advice. It is EXACTLY what I did. I didn't even phase it out. I made a complete change over. I completely cut myself off of ANYTHING made of flour. I started with Tuna, and eggs. That was where it began for me. And make friends with COCONUT oil. The benefits of coconut oil are mind blowing.

grill veg and fruit to spice things up. grill a pinapple with cinnamon. .. get the book thug kitchen!

Rosa, the reason wraps give you the sensation of eating carbs is because your still eating carbs. Those tortillas are the same carbs as bread. lol.

You can eat bread, pasta and cake and lose weight, you just have to use portion control. I have a food scale, measuring cups and spoons. If you can't control yourself around it, then it might better to avoid it for a while till you lose and then slowly add some back in. Eggs, beans, protein bars or shakes also are good sources of protein. I don't eat much meat any more either. If you have bread, Eziekiel is a good.

Green Smoothies help curb my craving for carbs. Juicing does also. If I exercise for 20 minutes, I find i don't want heavier foods

Do you like tuna or wild canned salmon? If you are a carb queen like me, you can use a little bread crumbs (like someone mentioned measure carbs) and make tuna or salmon patties (add onions/seasonings you like) and sautee in a pan. Feel carby but high protein.

Buy a rotisserie chicken and take skin off and bones, and then put in a container. You could put in on your tortillas, or use with eggs, milk, cheese (all proteins) and make little muffin breakfasts. Bacon, turkey bacon, and eggs. Eggs with spinach & cheese in muffin tins too. :)

Cold. Turkey. Cutting down doesn't work. Feel the discomfort and ride it out. There are low carb versions available - check out some of the Atkins or Paleo cookbooks. You don't have to go without, but you do need to change your taste buds and that only happens by stopping eating the sugars and refined flours. :-)

When you say you are not a meat eater, does that mean you don't eat meat at all, or just that you don't eat much? How about fish and seafood? And do you eat poultry?

cloud bread and cream cheese pancakes. Lots of recipes on Google, just find the ones that work for you. The pancakes are super easy and tasty, too!

There are some great protein options other than meat as mentioned above and adding healthy fats to my daily intake has helped diminish my cravings considerably. But today for some reason, the carb cravings were a bit more, but I chewed gum instead of reaching for the carbs. The gun has a few carbs, but nothing like the snack pack of goldfish that tied to tempt me.

oops, gum, not gun. Don't want to go down that line of discussion.
