100goodbye's Journal, 26 October 2011

Husband wanted a McRib for lunch, he wanted the two McRib deal (one for him, one for me). How could I pass that up......if that weren't bad enough I added a small fry and a side salad. My calories for lunch were a whopping 727. It's a good thing I was under 300 for breakfast. That leaves me with about 600 for the rest of the day. I love my FatSecret android app so much. I know immediately where I'm at for my calories for the day. It keeps it at the front of my mind. I will choose a good 600 calories to finish off the day with. Thanks FatSecret, thanks Android. I am back in the saddle and on my way. I did lose 15 lbs since the middle of January. I'm not going to kick myself for taking so long to lose it. I congratulate myself for a slow steady journey of changing my relationship with food. I hope I'm on a faster track now trying to stay within a realistic 1600 calories a day. Low calorie counts have not worked, I always felt deprived. I really do try and stay at 1600 calories a day with the exception of one day a week. I do not count calories on one day a week. Usually Friday.

Congratulations on the weight loss since January. Don't worry so much about the McRib. I hope you enjoyed it. Sometimes we need to go a little off the rails all that matters is that you get back one track. Best of luck- hope you have a yummy dinner.
