Woohooo! That's awesome.
It stands to reason that when you have a problem with one hormone (insulin) it throws all of them out of whack. When you bring the 'problem child' back into balance, all the others will re-balance, too. I've been hypothyroid since my early 30's, so my thyroid glad was enlarged. I noticed about 6 weeks into LCHF, that my thyroid gland has shrunk to near-normal size.

That's a great testimony, Mskestrela & Debra! It's testimonies like these that help keep me on track. Thanks for sharing!

This is fabulous news! I'm making mental notes all over the place (or I would, if my mental pen hadn't rolled under the mental fridge and is now covered with mental dog hair...)

Now Debra, make sure you are being safe. It's times like this that unexpected number four pops up. Especially once caught up in the moment. Almost makes me wish I was twenty years younger. NOT.🤔

LOL Sarah, back when I was in my 20's I started having high blood pressure due to my contraceptives, at that time they would not allow a woman in her 20's with only one child to have her tubes tied, even though I was adamant that I was never going to have another child. They took me off the pill and my hubby placed himself under the knife to ensure we would not have any more children. So...unless I am misbehaving in a VERY bad way, which I am not inclined to do, no worries about change of life babies!

Getting down tonight! I'm a gutter woman too. A repeat from last night. There are good things when you're a human, must learn to enjoy our human-ness. I love KC & SS Band! @Debra, you go girl! I have happy LOL right now & I'm proud of you, aside from being tickled at your rise in conscientiousness of being human & enjoying it. That's progress!

You got your mojo back AND decreased the Dreaded Dryness? Maybe I oughta look into this IF. Especially if it'll do anything about my "brief personal vacations in the tropics" :-D

PJ, those are really debilitating and embarrassing when they happen in public and I can honestly say that on my first trip into LCHF they were eliminated, it was actually their reappearance that drove me back here in March, within a week of strict LCHF there was a notable diminishing of symptoms. The addition of IF has seemed to actually reverse some of the hormonal changes. In my reading that I am doing about sex hormones and fasting they seem to think that the fasting increases pulses of the growth hormone (HGH) which results in many beneficial processes for slowing the cellular breakdown that we call aging.

That is interesting ... about the HGH. I think a lot of it is eating low carb, too.

Also during my reading I saw a lot of reference to injecting synthetic HGH to stay young, it has lots of side effects, apparently encouraging your body to produce more of it through diet gives you the beni's without the side effects. Dunno exactly, I'm not a scientist, but I do know that having a menstrual cycle SUCKS! It's been so long since I had one I had forgotten all the ickyness that goes along with it...UGH! Maybe menopause ain't so bad after all! :->
