YES!YES!YES! I'll take it every time! I know I will probably have a rebound of a few pounds once I have food occupying my digestive tract again, it's still good because 1) I feel fantastic 2) I feel fantastic
That's the whole point behind this isn't it?
Edit: Now that I have done an all out effort, as all out as I can manage, with the carb spike experiment, each week I did it....I showed a loss. This week because of the fast the results were skewed, but, it did not hurt me. Healing my metabolism is important and I feel that occasional spikes (100 vs 20) of non processed food type carbs are probably in order for me so I am going to call the experiment a success! I will probably not do it every single week as that seems to be too close together for my ketosis to re-up, but every other week is fine and good :)
You guys have a beautiful and blessed day!

ok, the food, I had 14 brazil nuts hit my tummy first, to make sure there was a landing pad for the rest of the food. I did not want to hit with a lot of roughage, so I chose not to have a salad, instead I had made brown rice last night and refrigerated it, stirred in some pre-cooked chicken and chicken livers in broth, felt like I needed the extra bit of protein, and an avocado and two ounces of cheese, had a BP coffee to wash it down. Now my body is telling me that it is comfortably full. I am 16% over my RDI, which is about 230 more calories than I normally eat, my macros are 140 in fat, 30 in carbs and 74 in protein. That's about 20g more fat than normal, 10g more carbs and 14g more protein.....not bad at all. I really thought I would pig out, but no.....I do confess to bolting it like someone was going to take it away from me, but I always do that! LOL!

Considering the fact that I was in a 5600 calorie deficit from not eating for 4 days, intaking 1694 calories is no big deal. As Dr. Fung said, it is impossible to eat enough in one meal to even make a dent in your deficit. Good to know!

Exactly, Debra! He also says fast then feast. Love Dr. Fung! Great job!

Ouch, let me edit that, I was supposed to add my deficit by using my BMR which would leave me at a 11,756 calorie deficit.....my god, if I was calculating my actual activities instead of just my basic standing, sitting, resting, sleeping I would be minus even more....all I can say is wow.

You know, I have never checked the math from my monthly totals page, right now we are halfway through the month, so for 15 days I have intake equaling 13,913, my exercise...which I calculate at my minimums only 44,342 leaves a caloric deficit of 30,429 which divided by 3500 (one pound of fat) equals 8.69 pounds that I should have lost this month...I have lost a total of 9 lbs since June 1. Amazing!
