I think it's all about the ratios. I see your carb to fat ratio for breakfast was too high. I suggest you ditch the Country Crock in favor of real butter. One of those LCHF folk will chime in soon enough :)

what diet are you on? bread on any diet is bad in general and should be avoided. To me bread has the nutritional value of a piece of cardboard. LOL

Bread of all kind is a killer if you are looking for a LCHF diet. Sprouted grain or otherwise. For LCHF, you want to keep your Net Carbs low at less than 30gms Net per day ideally. A slice of Bread is about 15gms of carbs. Down the road, once you lose the weight you want to lose, you can look at adding in Sprouted Grain/Ezekiel bread.

Bread is not bad on any diet - that statement is too general since not all diets or breads are the same. It depends on your individual diet and how the carbs fit in your macros. Sprouted breads are one of the best choices if your plan allows you to have bread.

@Jorge Loco...It is not a "General Statement" as it is focused on a LCHF...Low Carb High Fat diet. If that is the goal, then YES it is bad, as a 15gm spike in sugar would be bad on this diet, regardless of macros, as the goal is to avoid insulin spikes.

Not everyone follows LCHF so it is a general statement to say - bread is bad on any diet. Bad for LCHF but not bad on ANY diet.

Sense you are following the LCHF diet, I believe Mahjohn is correct. Are you following LCHF strictly for weight loss or are you dealing with other health issues?

In looking at the food logs, hard to say if this is intended to be a Low Carb plan or not...either way the Margarine has to go. If this is a LCHF diet plan...or the beginnings of it, then we need to direct @Houcarmm to more reading mateiral to get up to speed with what should and should not be in the diet plan and more importantly....why.

Thanks, I will definitely have to get educated on the ratios and percentages. Is Dr. Hyman's a good book to start with?

Dr. Mark Hymann is a good source, however, is it Low Carb High Fat that you're looking to get into? If so, there's additional sources...

I have not read Dr, Hyman's book. Here are the things I looked at. Also don't forget Pinterest for food ideas... if you need them. I find that simple works best for me. I repeat a lot of the same items because I find 1) I don't have to look up the values each time 2) I have found those which work best for me and will repeat weight loss results. This is fuel! :) happy reading :) http://www.ketoclarity.com/ http://www.marksdailyapple.com/#axzz4AGBUXk51 http://burnfatnotsugar.com/introduction.html http://cocoketodiet.com/ http://kickincarbclutter.blogspot.com/2015/01/how-to-get-into-ketosis-in-less-than-3.html

Those will be me reading for tonite. I see now how many carbs I've already eat today, enough for 2 days worth.

While there are many different 'diets' being followed on this site, you will find a large number are doing LCHF (like myself). If that is what you choose to follow, then yes, bread is pretty much out. BUT... as you do your research to determine what is best for you, also check out Intermittent Fasting (referred to as IF here) and also Carb Night. These are two elements that work very will in conjunction with a LCHF diet, AND the latter will allow you some bread one day a week. But honestly, If LCHF is your choice, I would stick with just LCHF at first for a couple weeks. Get used to it. Then maybe add the IF. Then possibly consider Carb Nights. You can do this!! Just find what works well for YOU :)

You did select LCHF: Low carb, High fat/Ketogenic diet. Commit to your plan unless/until you make a new plan. Lucky for you, you have selected a plan that has many active and successful followers here on fs.

If you're eating bread you may as well be eating straight raw sugar.
