Tomorrow should be Frittata Friday, but it won't be. I can't get away from the urge to try a Jimmy John's "Unwich". I've heard about them, and even checked out Jimmy John's menu, for the carb count; I may not get them often, but I will definitely be getting one tomorrow. :-)

I had my first one just a little while back. Did they have customer appreciation day where you are? It was $1. Couldn't believe it! I thought it was great and that's where my inspiration came from to try wrapping in lettuce at home. I haven't been able to wrap nearly as neatly as they did, but I still snarf it up!!!

Oh yes, I used to get Unwich all the time. They are excellent and low carb.

Gigi, Unwiches are low carb versions of any of their sandwiches. Instead of the bread, they wrap the ingredients in lettuce leaves and paper to make them easier to eat. The nutrition info on all of their Unwiches is listed online. But, yes, I will be careful.

Is that a chain restaurant? Reminds me of In N Out Burger. Sounds good. Hope you enjoyed your unwich.

Yes, it's a chain restaurant. No, it's not like In N Out Burgers at all, except that they do make their food fresh. You are in the Palm Springs area, right now, and there are two Jimmy John's restaurants in that area; one in Palm Desert, and the other in La Quinta. You can google Jimmy John's, to find out exactly where they are if you're interested, and also to check out their menu; but it might be a bit of a drive, by Michigan standards, which is not so far by California standards. Have a great weekend. :-) By the way, the Unwich was pretty good, I had a J.J. Gargantuan, and one might be enough to feed both you and Jim. :-)
