Never too late to start over :) It's better than just giving up which I tend to do, ha.

Mikey, you know what almost ALL of us big guys universally have in common? Those Damned big baggy over shirts. I have about 4 that I want to throw away. When I can stop hiding my love handles at least. Well mine are not handles yet. They are still shelf's. lol.

I've still got most of my 3x t-shirts, but I don't wear them much anymore.

When you guys are ready to give up the big t-shouts, consider having them made into memory quilts so you have a reminder of "the good old days." If you are not interested in something like this, donate them to a thrift shop so some crafty person can use them to make cute little baby outfits. Then you will know that someone else is also benefiting from you weight loss.

I won't get rid of my big clothes. 8 years ago I dropped down to 212 lbs and bought a whole new wardrobe but over the years as I gained weight those clothes don't fit me anymore. Glad I kept my Fat clothes... Lol

Well, mikeyg, I'm sure you know that part of the reason for getting rid of the "fat clothes" is to provide incentive to not gain it back -- although I think we all know that doesn't always work! And it seems that the things we wear when we gain are the items that never go out of style, like baggy tees and sweats are ever really stylish!! (lol) I do understand what you are saying about keeping the larger sizes "just in case," but I also get the rationale of getting rid of them so there is "no turning back."

I'll keep a couple 2X's around for a reminder. Plus my girlfriend looks kinda cute when she uses them for jammies (or a tent). But for the most part, I'm going all Cortez on my fat clothes when I get to the new world!

Don't beat yourself up over the picnics. Part of this journey is learning when it is okay to indulge and when it is not, as well as understanding the difference between indulging and OVERindulging. :)
