The Japanese Zombie's Journal, 13 April 2016

Well well now! I knew that sign of tell-tale fat burn two days ago was going to lead to a drop in weight. I tend to plateau and then suddenly drop. I think it has to do with my hormones in particular but I know when I stall to keep calm and keep doing what I'm doing.

Today is my 1 day off a week from working out. Just because I'm giving my body a break, doesn't mean that I'm not active in another way. I'm at work right now and I plan to do what I call a "walking lunch break" meaning I eat at my desk while I work and then choose to take my "break" as a 30 minute walk outside. My goal today in terms of fitness is to squeeze in 10K steps and 5km in. 10 flights of stairs and at least 30 active minutes today. There is no excuse not to do something while breaking from my elliptical routine.

In terms of nutrition today, I brought a light lunch, will probably have a snack and a light dinner as well to compensate for not having an intense workout.

My total loss today is 34lbs, my body fat percentage is 27%, I have 24lbs to go to my goal, but my fitness and maintenance will NOT end when I reach my goal. I won't let myself slip again into bad habits or get lazy. It is just too much work to lose it. On the bright side I was stopped today by two people who noticed that I'm getting healthier, thinner, and putting an effort into my appearance!
164.6 lb Lost so far: 0.4 lb.    Still to go: 24.6 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
losing 2.8 lb a week

Be careful about working out too much there's some belief that you raise cortisol levels which causes you to maintain weight walking and just moving around it's a great plan but as they say in the 90% of losing weight is in the diet

blkbear, I believe that there is a balance. Calories in vs. calories out. I don't work out for more than 35-40 minutes a day. I am extremely sedentary at work meaning I sit all day, come home and usually end up continuing to sit all day if I don't work out. This is not healthy. Maintaining is not a bad thing at all, I still consider that a success. But since you just added me as a friend, please note that I'm on a LCMF diet and follow it quite strictly. Both coupled together has caused me to drop 34lbs in 3 months, so I'd say this is a great success so far.
