After reading many journals and thinking about my own weight loss journey...One thing stands out in my mind...An exclusion of any one food group puts you in an "all or nothing" category and when you consume something not "allowed" you instantly "fail"... You can have toast and jelly on a lowfat diet, but no butter. On a carb restricted diet, you can have the butter...alas, no toast or jelly. It's interesting, you can make all sorts of combinations work for you but it may not work for anyone else. I am happy to have found such a supportive group of people here...We all have our struggles with food, family, illness and whatever else life hands us...Thank goodness we can come here to vent and think and get inspiration from one another.
