I'm glad you got your weight training in. Homemade lard, well aren't you the pioneer woman! I buy mine, Smithfield, VA brand. I've gotten to the point that I want to lift on the days I'm not at the gym. The coach said I needed to give the muscles a day off. I said sure, but this fat is slack and needs the discipline! He thinks I'm crazy...

Thanks, Brenda. Girl, homemade lard is the bomb! ...and you get to eat the rest of the fat skin left. OMG! I dont even get all of tge grease out of all of the skin so I can have it with my meal. I know what you mean. I was once there too (and will be again). I had to MAKE myself take recovery days, because I just enjoyed it so much. I was doing 5 day splits, and still felt like I was going to die if I didn't pick up something heavy on my days off.

Exactly! There are two tires in the garage. I kid you not, today I stood there thinkin' about lifting one of them a couple of times. Do you make homemade pork rinds?

Yes, ma'am! God, I'd kill to have a wild hog in the freezer right about now! I promise you, I'm taking my 12 yr old shooter hunting next year...lol.

Yes, Alnona. The fat off of a pig. Pick your cut, it's all good...lol. I personally favor the fat that most people trim off of their pork chop. Glad they don't like it because I can buy it be uh the pack for next ty to nothing.

Jenny, wild hogs are all over Horry County. Just check out the outlying golf courses.

jenny thanks for your comments on fat...yes most dieters don't realize yet that the LCHF diet is the main food to eat is fat ...I shoot for 75 to 80%...don't always get it but i try........carbs should be very very low and prot 20% just to maintain your mussels mass...fat is your food of choice...Took me awhile to understand it. But when you do the weight just keeps coming off. remember fight fat with fat.

The guy that owned one of the gyms I used to work out told me to kill the weights, they wouldn't feel it. I've got my eyes on a couple of big Piney Woods rooters that keep tearing up my backyard.

Right, Fred! Empowering to know isn't it?? I think the main thing is to find your fat of choice. I do enjoy coconut oil & butter (ghee) in my coffee, but lard is my go to for cooking. @Phil, I'm go I ng to get back there. There is no greater feeling than the "cocky" feeling that lifting heavy brings! Choot 'em, Phil, choot 'em! LOL
