8hunter6's Journal, 26 January 2016

so I got those keto piss strips... to put it bluntly lol .... I'm the second darkest colour ! so I'm guessing things are going well :D another day of feeling fantastic.
I also got a food scale so I can better keep track of what I'm doing . I don't like guessing at the amount of meat I'm eating because then I almost feel like my food log is lies because I can only approximate. so for more accurate food logs I will be using my new scale.

In another life, I measured stuff for a living. Without measurements, you can never know where you are or where you're heading. I love my food scale!

Good job on getting a scale and trying to be as accurate as possible! When weighing and recording meat, be sure to weigh it BEFORE you cook it to record it OR if you're portioning it up, weigh it before & after, find the reduction factor and when dividing up the meat, factor in for loss. A good example is chicken breasts which for me when I steam them have a reduction of 38% in weight.. So when I make a lot of chicken, I've got to calculate that into my serving sizes to record it accurately.

weight before I cook it?? I have to cook for 4 other people in the house so I usually have a decent amount cooked so if I need a little more I just swipe it from someone else lol
