Wondered about that myself! I guess time constraints get us all. Hoping you have a happy birthday!

Thanks, Shea! I honestly think it's because once you get into true ketosis and keto adapted, one has little need for support being that all of the cravings are gone and exercise becomes for health, not weight loss.

I feel the same about the Slow Carb Diet. Apparently I missed the boat, and missed this diets popular period. :( I have this and MealLogger (a photo logging app), and on neither can I find an active Slow Carb group. Makes me a bit sad.

congrats. low carbs eating is great. have stuck to it for years. my first weight lost with Adkins was 85lbs. in 5 months. that was like 40years ago. I gain a little lose it etc. but now that I am retired home most of the day with hubby, weight does not come off so easy. we watch our food, cause he is diebetic, we get up and walk 3 and half miles every morning. this keeps his A1C down. but the weight is the same. so if you are losing that is wonderful. best of luck.

Let me know if you find one. I have been looking too.

@Amber, maybe you did miss the popular period. I think it's more of an awareness and common sense period now for lots of people. Like I said once you get completely on board, there is little need for support nor logging. @Peaches, maybe too much protein?? Protein is a necessary nutrient, but doesn't deserve all of the hype it gets. Everyone needs enough, but excess will turn into sugar in the system also. Sorry to hear about the hubby! Try googling "keto for diabetics". I've ran across many people that have reversed diabetes. I was pre-diabetic myself, but no longer have that problem. @Mousy... I'm thinking of choosing one and adding some links and things in the posts because to be completely honest I probably won't be here long either, at least not on a regular basis. There is just no need once you get adapted, and I felt adaption kick in this morning. :)

There are only so many victory laps, end zone dances, and bulls-on-parade strutting a person can do and when you're on a LCHF diet every day merits some bragging!

you should create a group!
03 Nov 15 by member: redgirl1974
Exactly, Phil! :) I would Red, but I may not be around on a regular basis for long. I'll just post some things in LCHF Ketogenic group.

I'm still trying to figure out the HF part of LCHF. I've been eating low fat for so long I have trouble thinking of any HF things other than switching from 97/3 to 80/20 ground beef and enjoying every part of a roasted chicken and putting butter on everything.

Ketonia - Population us. // @SeanKelly - I too work a rather sedentary computer job for meals I'll have a chopped up chicken breast swimming in 40g of butter and 20g of coconut oil. Proteins & Fats - The essentials. :D // I try and get equal grams proteins & fats by the end of the day; fats higher then protein if there is an option. Even if that means eating a slice or two of butter. #doItForTheMacros

Thanks, Frosty! @SeanKelly, I'm a southern girl so getting fat in comes with little trouble for me...lol. I don't care much for coconut oil, but I do enjoy it along with butter in my bulletproof coffee that can always get my macros in check tho. I also add bacon drippings to all of my veggies most of the time, it makes for a great seasoning taste also. I have a container that I collect it in after I cook my bacon. Personally, I don't shy away from meat fat either! Plus, I take fish oil (krill oil when I can afford it) daily. Avocados also have a pretty good bit of fat. There is also MCT oil that can be bought online.

HA! Frosty, I actually went and searched for that group name! DUHHH! KMSL!

You can get refined coconut oil at Sam's Club that has no flavor! I use it in my candy when I'm going for something without the coconut taste.

Thanks, Shea, but I TRY to stay away from as many refined things as possible. It isn't bad in bulletproof coffee tho. The coffee and butter hides it quite nicely.

I have been wondering the same thing

I know right rupted. I feel like there needs to be an active group for LCHF more than any other because not many people understand the science behind it, or realize that it's the most healthy diet of all. Dr's have lead us down the wrong path for so long that everyone has been brain washed by the SAD (standard American diet). I wish everyone could just stop groupying bad science and the dr's that are making us sick, and take a look around through a pair of common sense goggles. If dr's advice and medications are so wonderful, why are we fatter and sicker than ever?? -A LITTLE KETOVANGALISM...LOL
