Sdbai3's Journal, 28 September 2015

Update on A1C. When I journaled last, I was referencing the A1C level from my first three month checkup. At that time it had gone from a 12.1 to a 5.6. Got my results in from last week's bloodwork and it has now dropped to 5.2! Yes! I really hope that one day I can beat this without taking medication.

On the weight side, I haven't lost any this weekend. The State Fair is going on here in Texas and I allowed myself to have a treat. (My first real treat in 6 months.) I HAD A FUNNEL CAKE!!!! Oh. My. Good. Gosh. It was heavenly!!

Now, back to business. My daughter is considering joining the Army Reserves and she will need to lose some weight. I'm really hoping she will attempt this as the military would be an EXCELLENT choice for her. She definitely needs that discipline.

I told her I would walk or go to the gym with her every day in order to help her lose and that it would help me in the process.

We'll see...Praying for God's will with this one!

Y'all have a great day!

You really look good and I know God will give you direction and wisdom with your daughter. Remember John 15:7.. I also treated myself to a Cinabon and it was amazing and I am paying for it. Trying hard to stay with the healthy food this week. God is a healing God and I know you and HIM can beat this. Praying for you. Have a very blessed evening.. Until next time..Barbs

That's great news about the A1C, and I hope your daughter enlists. The best thing she can do to prepare is run. That will help the weight come off, of course, and it will get her ready for basic training. If she can run a few miles without a problem, that will make the adjustment way easier.

Yeah, but now they require you to be at their weight requirement before you can go to basic training. :(
