Well here I am back at at....hmmmm I hate dieting, but I hate being fat... so what else is there to do.. at least I have made the first step by coming back to look at my journal and stuff on here!! So I haven't weighed myself yet ... I will do this tomorrow, this is just the first step........Starting from today recording everything I eat....... have been walking for about a month , but can't see any weight loss lol... here we go.......... one small step for Shelley lol

Perhaps lose the idea of "diet" and see yourself making lifestyle choices in your best interest like drinking more water, walking places, adding more vegetables, etc. The small things cause big changes over time.

Great advice HCB, think in terms of things you CAN do, instead of things you CAN'T do.

I'm going to look at this as making better food choices at each meal. Think about what I'm eating and ask myself is this good for me or is there a better choice I can make. It will be small steps. But, we can do it. I'm starting tomorrow. Just joined today

Shelley, Welcome back. HCB is right don't "diet" make some changes, make a plan for life, tweak it as you go along to fit you and your life. Life changes as time goes on. Don't do a "diet" with an end game or you will gain it back or not stick to it. Debdaniel says small steps, baby steps they can be good. Change a few small things stay with those until you are used to them and then a few more until you have a healthy WOE and exercise.
