The dawn phenomenon is frustrating me! Every time I say I won't take glyburide and metformin the fasting blood sugar compels me to.
The main point of being on a low carb/Paleo-Atkins diet was to control blood sugar but that is not happening with me. In fact, I have gone from a fasting blood sugar of 8 mmol to over 10 and as high as 14 mmol. Bogels my mind!
Hopefully the Endocrinologist can explain the results next week. I am a type of a person who gets bored and restless if I don't see results within the first couple of days. By now, either the scale or the meter should show results and neither are.
Okay... be patient. I think I have to memorize this mantra. Hang in there!!
