Coach_B's Journal, 13 August 2015

Ok, first journal entry. I am 48 years old, married 29 years next month, 2 kids, both boys, ages 26 and 19. One grand-daughter, currently working as an automotive engineer. I have been coaching youth sports since I was 16 and have calculated that I have coached over 1000 young athletes, ranging from 5 years old through 19 years old. I've coached swimming, football, basketball, soccer and my mainstay, baseball.
During my younger years, I was very athletic, I enjoyed all sports and received a total of 9 varsity letters in High School. I got married young and drifted away from sports while my wife and I were putting ourselves through college. Before I knew it, I was 40 years old and morbidly obese. I'm not one of those people that have a bad story to tell, no abuse, drugs or poor upbringing, I just got fat and lazy through the years. I have tried every diet under the sun, but easily fall off the wagon. My highest weight has been 407lbs and my lowest over the past 4 years has been 367lbs.
Well, I now have a grand daughter and when we keep her, I am totally wiped out and can't keep up with her. I am motivated to lose the weight. I am fully committed to the ketosis diet I started this week (I know it's early, but I'm feeling confident!). Hopefully, sharing my progress and checking the progress of others will help me reach my goal of 270lbs.

Hello all!
Thanks for having me!
