This SUCKS!!! I'm so tired of being at this weight. It's been a while now. I know, I know, I didn't get this big overnight and it's going to take some time to get back where I want to be. I just feel like I'm sweatin' my butt off for nothing!! (Patience is NOT my forte!)

I have however, brought snacks to the office. I find that I'm so hungry when I get home that I eat way more than I need to. Also trying to cut back on the artificial sweetener. Drinking water with lemon slices and some fresh mint. Not too shabby...

Can someone give me some ideas on healthy snacks? I'm not really doing low carb anymore. I mean, I watch them and don't eat sugar or flour or anything like that, but I'm fresh out of ideas. Usually I eat a pretty good sized handful of grapes and a couple of babybel cheeses for lunch. Either a bowl of corn flakes or a protein shake for breakfast and dinner varies.

Thanks guys. I know I can always count on your support.

Signed...

Getting discouraged

P.S. I am starting to see a difference in pictures, though. FINALLY. Here's one after I cut a lot of my hair off this past weekend.

don't be discouraged ! one day at a time ..... I can give you ideas for snacks but really everyone's body reacts differently to some foods ! You have to test out some foods and see how it goes ...... unfortunately it takes time ! Continue the good work and Good luck !

Something that has helped me when it comes to meal planing is " Eat like a King for breakfast, a commoner for lunch, and a beggar for dinner" I plan the biggest part of my meal when it comes to carbs for breakfast. But I try and be calorie sensitive too. Then up the protein at lunch and if I have a little bit of carbs thats fine. Dinner is my smallest meal and I try and keep it to something in the realm of Chicken and Veggies. This gives you a little bit of wiggle room that if you do have a light breakfast you can still have room for a little bit extra at lunch if you want to. Like going out to eat with co-workers or friends... But thats the ball park I stay in. Maybe something from that could help. You'll power through this. Keep up the great work!!!

I am doing Ketogenic, I don't count calories I watch my macro's instead. I keep my fat intake at 70% or greater, my protein at 20% or greater and my Carbohydrates at 10% or less. I don't have cravings and I eat only when I am hungry. This works well for me.

Take measurements and watch as you get smaller even if the scale doesn't move. Make sure to hydrate all the time and make sure your protein is enough to keep you full. Your doing great and keep it up.

Raspberries have a lot of fiber for a little amount/calories: 1/2 c. has 4g F and only 32 calories --eat as a topping on nonfat Greek yogurt for protein (and again, not many calories) and for 'fullness' and sustained energy. Also, I recently tried some Beanitos snacks (found in the chip aisle at Publix or maybe in natural/organic foods section in other stores). I like 'hot/spicy' things so I bought the Hot Chili Lime Puffs -- low glycemic, a good-sized portion/serving is 120 cals and each serving has 4g protein, 4g fiber, they're gluten-free, low-glycemic, etc. Agree with Bb870 that you might want a more substantial breakfast(?) and also with Debbie that nuts make good, filling snacks as well. Ooh! That reminds me -- an apple with 2 Tbsps. of natural peanut butter (not as low-cal as the others, but same principle of fiber + protein. P.S. You look GREAT in your pic -- looks from here as though you must be getting very close to goal weight!

Raw almonds are excellent for a snack and they cut the appetite. You only need to eat 10 or 12 almonds. Try not t be frustrated - look how much weight you already have lost...you body just needs to catch up!

You look wonderful in the picture! Ideas for snacks: I love hummus with cucumber slices; Carrots and light ranch dip; snap peas. Granola bars of different kind and bananas are probably the most comfortable for me. Beef sticks, cheese sticks. I love cheese stick and grape combination! Sometimes I just have avocado halved and eat it with a spoon. I hope you like veggies :) Edamame with salt is one of my favorites. I know some of those things aren't very convenient to eat at work - but I have managed before... I've notice a big difference since I've started drinking a cup of water right before the mea or snack. It's really doing something to tame my hunger, it helps me to slow down and check my senses if I really need more nourishment or is it time to stop eating... Eating or snacking every 3 hours helps with my hunger getting out of balance, and it suppose to speed up your metabolism. :)

Super cute cut! I agree with HCB about almonds. I also like walnuts with a few dried tart cherries for a p.m. snack.

Snap pea crisps are my new substitute for chips. They have good fiber and protein so more filling than some snacks and give the satisfaction of having had chips - but these are made from peas. I love the Wasabi flavor...

Big fan of roasted, salted soynuts. However, I eat these with lunch on my salad. No snacking at all, because I find that snacks are where people get into trouble & can't lose any weight. Best just to eat filling meals so that I'm not hungry every 3 hours.

stay away from sugar,, it only makes you hungry again in a short time.even natural sugar has the sam effect on you . eat more protein and fat,, that will satiate you .

Sometimes you just got to get good and mad and or determined and make it your quest. The great thing about us humans is that we are capable of deciding who we want to be and or live and just do it! I know you can do it. If I did not believe in others, I could not believe in myself. Good luck and God bless.
