Big cooking/ canning weekend so I am not surprised I moved up a smidge. Less exercise, tons of tasting. I put up apple butter, taco sauce, BBQ sauce and another batch of baked beans.
We have a pretty good fitbit challenges group going if anyone wants to join. I think I finally found someone to beat Letty! There's a big range, a few at 4000ish a day, a few at 13000ish, and a couple 20000+ maniacs so feel free to jump in.

169.8 lb Lost so far: 3.2 lb.    Still to go: 19.8 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

I hit 10 k today only 2x this week did I hit it but no fitbit I have garmin vivofit or I would join. Previous week I did 66k for the week this week is only 52k. I was hoping to make the 60k club again but all day in the car killed it and having my contractor here every day but 2 made it hard because I do not leave my house when he is working.

Nichol, lots of work doing all that canning etc. I used to do it every summer when the kids were growing up. I am starting watermelon rind pickles tomorrow, the last batch I threw away as the basement flooded and they were still sitting in the lime a week later...OH my not pretty or smelling very good. LOL

20,000+ step maniacs, lol. Just making a note that all of those maniacs are female. And one of them suggested that men are competitive. These ladies are kicking my butt big time. Uncle, I give!

Indeed they are maniacs!! lol I've always wanted to do home canning, maybe next year when I'm done with school I can learn :)

Lol she is my inspiration though I pick on her. Some day if I get running again I hope to beat her. To be honest since I broke my foot I haven't been working out eso much. I have done the glider a few times but not for long. I am just always running after my kids. I think what your activity is doesn't matter so much as long as you are MOViNG. When I was much more of an athlete is when I gained a pile of weight go figure.

I will join in some of your challenges but no way will I beat anyone who can keep up with all those steps! WOW! I am lucky on most days to walk through the house and turn around and go back! LMAO!!!

I have a workout class in the morning. We do a combo of strength training and cardo. I'm not a Zumba instructor yet. But I do go to Zumba classes 4-6 times a week. I am hoping within the next year to get my Zumba certification. If y'all don't Zumba you should! It's so much fun and you can get 5,000+ steps in one class.

Zumba does look like fun. Most of it is high impact, I may go hunting on youtube and see if I can find a low impact one to try..

We are lucky at our gym we have 5 different Zumba instructors. Some classes are harder than others. So there is something for everyone. And all of the instructors show us how to modify the harder moves. I love them!

Letty my youngest daughter is a Zumba instructor. Used to teach classes on the beach when she was in Florida. Loves it. One of these days I might try it. :)
