No! Not crazy at all! You and he were best friends. May be time for a new friend? When I lost one of my sweeties when she was nearly 20 years old, a new kitten was a wonderful remedy for me. I knew my girl wanted to me to go on and spoil another cat! LOL - there are many adult cats who need homes, too. You will know when you are ready.

I did the same HCB I lost 2 in 5 days around Christmas of '14. And Before the month was out I had not gotten a replacement but a new friend. Ripley is a wonderful companion. Do not know what we would do without her.
