Dental visit happened yesterday -- and even better news than that? It will cost me less than what was initially quoted! SWEET! I will be changing dentists. First of all -- and this is kind of big for me -- it SMELLED like a dentist office! It was clean. It was bright. The staff were smiling, laughing, and providing good service. It was nice to feel welcome in a new place. The dentist was gentle, polite, a conversationalist, joking with his staff...and concerned about my comfort during the procedure. I am normally a 2+ shot gal when it comes to numbing my gums and/or root to have teeth worked on. Yesterday, I was a 3+ gal. Figured it would be next week by the time I could feel my face again. (LOL) The procedure took about 3 hours -- let's face it, I didn't really have much tooth after the cracking took about 2/3 of it away, leaving 1/3 to be ground down to have a crown. The dental hygenists working with me were conscientious and took pride in their work. The first nor the second temporary crown were satisfactory in their eyes. Only with the third were they satisfied. Craftsmanship - you gotta respect that. Plus, they stayed over to finish me up. I apologized for keeping them over, and the response I received was not "thanks" or "that's okay" it was "we want to help you feel better." Seriously. There was no background noise complaining of having to stay over. It was really a nice experience. I'm instructed to continue with a soft diet and try not to chew on the dental work side. Don't eat anything sticky or chewy. Which is more information than I received from my own dentist. Today it's sore -- and it's gonna be. Thankfully Extra Strength Tylenol is my friend (can't take Ibuprofen).

Yes, I did run this morning. Will input during lunch. Working on drinking more water now that my tongue won't get stabbed with every swallow!!!
