meonadiet's Journal, 23 August 2009

I lost some weight but when I reviewed the week I noticed I have so much room for improvement. Both Thursday and Saturday in social settings I did badly. I allowed myself to have a drink. But having a drink changes my willpower and I start to give in with eating too much plus bad choices. I really need to work on this. I also have other eating issues. Oh well, I'll just keep at it.
153.0 lb Lost so far: 24.0 lb.    Still to go: 18.0 lb.    Diet followed poorly.

You want that flexibility of having a drink, without feelings of guilt, any time you feel like having it. You can always "pay" for it later. I like to stay flexible while keeping tight control over my overall caloric intake (averaged over a few day's time). You seem to be doing really well at recording calories daily; and, though I'm not sure what is happening exactly, I suspect that by bringing your average calorie count down a little, you should begin to lose steadily. Try to focus on keeping a relatively low average for a week at a time, promptly making up for excesses along the way, and see what happens. Keep up the good work Meonadiet! :-)

I'm with Info, Meonadiet. It helps me to know that I can eat/drink whatever I want, as long as I'm tracking my calories, keeping to my daily/weekly budget, and NOT eating when I'm not hungry. Even shaving off as little as 100 calories a day from your current diet will make a BIG difference. BTW, it's nice to know that we're only a province away from each other. And have you noticed that we're exactly the same age?! Have a great day neighbour!

we all have room for improvement. I second what Info and Facingforward said. Allow some flexibility to your diet. It's always possible to have a drink and eat less the next day, to balance. I think watching calories on a week gives a better idea than on a single day. if you set a goal of calories burned (with exercise) on a week, and watch your calories intake for the same time, then it becomes easier to stay on track. and it allows you to enjoy a night out without feeling guilty. you're doing great, keep going!
