So, I hit the gym today for the first time after 6 months of doing absolutely nothing except walking. Started with the treadmill, walking/almost jogging at 6 mph for 20 minutes, then did some streching and a few sit-ups. Wasn't in the mood for doing more, and I also didn't want to get exhausted from the very first visit. I'll go again tomorrow..will try to increase the pace, perhaps do more exercises and some weight lifting.
I had my body fat percentage calculated a few days ago, along with other stuff (water percentage, muscle and bone tissue etc). It was a free calculation, offered by a brand who wanted to promote her protein shakes, bars etc. I don't know how reliable the result was, but the scale with the bioelectrical impendance analysis was of TANITA, a well known and expensive brand, and seemed in a good condition, so I guess I can't blame it for the results I got. 31% !!!! Yes, 31% of me is FAT. I was shocked, I have to admit that. I know I am overweight, but never thought about having THAT much fat tissue. It...just seems TOO MUCH.
Must. Reduce it. New motivation: Check.
