HealthyBabs's Journal, 10 July 2011

Had a wonderful day today. After the usual chores, got in a huge power walk. Broke my steps per day personal best AGAIN today with 11,046 so far today. Added an extra lap at the park to make that 3 laps. Hot one today at 94* so made sure we stayed hydrated. Still a little sun burned from our beach day yesterday but I forged thru it.

I have started wearing my wrist band for my BodyMediaFit. I got the wrist band when I originally bought the deal but I never used it until now. I like that I can keep track of my calories burned, steps, minutes of activity and the current time at a glance without having to wait to download my data. I think this is really helping me stay more aware of where I am at for the day. For my buddies out there who use a BMF, do you use the wrist band?

Had a little treat for supper, got a lobster which I split and grilled, not so bad on calories since I passed on the butter for dipping and went for the lemon instead!! Lobster by itself is actually pretty low in calories. Trying to have seafood 3x/wk which really isn't a problem for us since we love it and it is so plentiful here. It can be a little spendy but we figure that with all the crap we are NOT buying now it all evens out.

Only working 3 days this week as my nuclear stress test is scheduled for Thursday & Friday. Not too nervous about that yet.

Hope everyone has had a great weekend! God Bless!

Your wrist band sounds interesting - anything to keep up the motivation.

Nope, I didn't bother with the watch display. At first I think it might have been nice, but since I always have access to the computer it was just as easy to upload the data multiple times a day. These days I sometimes wait close to a week to upload & enter the numbers here, so I wouldn't use it if I had it. The additional cost of $70 or $80, whatever it was, almost helped make my decision not to buy. :) As far as calorie burn, I only care about total burn for each 24 hr period, not as important during the activity. And my Garmin gives me the speed, time & distance info I want during my runs.

You broke 10,000!!!! Way to go! Don't pull any all-nighters studying for that nuclear stress test - won't help your scores! LOL!!!
