I don't journal a lot on here, but today was really exciting for me so I thought I'd share/brag a little.

I used to wear size twenties and I've been walking around the past couple months wearing pants that are too baggy. I had to buy a dress for an event I'm going to and figured I'd grab pants while I was at it, since the last pair of decent fitting ones ripped last week after I knelt down a few too many times.

I picked up some 14s because I just wanted to see if they sort of fit and how far I had to go to fit them, I didn't really think I'd fit. I've been wearing some old 16s that fit okay, but they definitely weren't loose, so I figured I was a 16 now.

So I put on the 14s and promptly texted everyone I know. I announced the size to one of the ladies who works there and she laughed and said to me "Congratulations! I didn't want to offend you, but when you were looking at the 18s I was thinking to myself 'you're not an 18, honey'." (and I heard another lady talking about how she'd lost weight while she was trying things on, so it must've been shopping day for all of us!)

Pants sizes are really weird though, because I did try on a pair of 18s that were a little tight. I wish there was a standard size across brands, but whatever. I tried on a couple other 14s and they fit for the most part, too, so... I'm a 14! (and a 16 for tops because of my darn chest)

When I got back from shopping I may or may not have danced around singing "I'm a 14" for a couple minutes before I sat down to lunch. Hey, that's extra exercise, right? I'll be a 12 before I know it :P

Really though, this is the cherry on top of a great month for me because about two weeks ago I poked a new hole in my belt. I'm feeling really motivated, but I have to remember to take it easier than usual because last week I twisted a little too far and sprained a muscle in my back! But there's plenty to do that doesn't bother it and it feels a lot better already so I don't even know why I'm mentioning it and bringing down my happy post.

Yay 14s! :P Hope everyone's week/month is going just as well as mine! :D
