NOT HAPPY THIS MORNING!I fluctuate between wanting to track down my 16 year old son (who has decided he's "sick of me telling him what to do" and ran away) and beating him to a pulp, and wanting to singularly strangle each of my parents, who are condoning his behavior. He flunked and got kicked out of school last year for his behavior and grades; he was coming home drunk and (I'm pretty sure high) all the time. I confiscated his cell phone and he was too silly to delete the pictures of him and the girls in it smoking and being under some sort of influence. I filed for a Marchman Act, in order to force my son into some sort of rehab or counseling, and my parents are SENDING HIM MONEY to his varying friends' houses! The police and process servers can't find him, but my dad called me this morning to tell me "he's staying out of trouble", "he's just hanging out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOD I JUST WANT TO FREAKING SCREAM! But, I know that I've grown and I'm in a better place than I was last year. I'm sitting here typing on my laptop, which means I haven't thrown it against the wall (yet).

I am so sorry that you are going thru this and that your parents are helping him. Stay strong, which I know is difficult, but stay strong anyway. This too shall pass.

I am so sorry about your TEST.I have a 16 year old to.I can't say i know what your going through the only thing i can say is remember who you are and the strength God has given you as a mother Pray and go get him by the ear and let him know that life is not over for you and him get your control back OUR GOD GAVE IT TO YOU NOT HIM.

Thanks for your comments. The problem, kl, if there is one, is the fact that when I discipline him, grounding, confiscating his cell phone, video games, etc., he runs to my mother. The last few times, he simple ran away. PERIOD. JSO is looking for him as a runaway, and there are process servers looking for him as well. My dad won't give me a straight answer as to where he is, and we've only moved to town less than a year ago. Jacksonville is HUGE, and he could be ANY-FREAKING-WHERE so I pray and keep praying, and keep biting holes in my tongue when I speak to my dad. I can't even TRY to speak to my mother right now...

Wow - I'm so sorry to hear about what you are going through. How can your parents not see that what they are doing is hurting him??? I will say a prayer for you and for your son. He will come back to you when he realizes that it is you who loves him and that the partying and living this way only brings pain and destruction into his life. He will see your wisdom - just no telling when. God bless you.

Thank you for your comments. I spoke with my aunt this morning, who was very supportive. She held the phone while I screamed and yelled. There were a couple of times when I had to stop and say "Hello?" to make sure the cell connection wasn't lost. LOL. she then proceeded to encourage me toward what I feel is my purpose and she reminded me that the enemy comes to steal kill and destroy, and he can only take from us what we give him. She reminded me that I don't need an address to send prayers of protection. That's where I am right now in this. You'd think that it would be easier to relax knowing that my parents have a hand in this, but that makes it worse, because their involvement in this is limited to throwing crap at the fan & letting it fly. There's no specific purpose for their involvement except to ratify his actions and disregard anything I say concerning the behavior problems, of these past couple of years.
