I'm not doing Adkins, but I want to do low carb hoping to go into ketosis. What is a good range of daily net carbs ?

For me if I am doing a competition diet (maximum fat loss and increase of muscle) I do carb cycling - MON TUES THUR FRI at 40 carbs (not counting green veggies) and WED at 80 carbs then SAT SUN 60 carbs.

Yes. It is. Very difficult 12 week diet only. It is just to kick start metabolism

And it is only unprocessed foods. Whole oats, fruit, sweet potato or brown rice

Thanks, I've really hit a plateau and can't seem to get past it. Have you been successful with your weight loss since you started doing this ?

I have been doing Low Carb, High Fat for the last year. When I am successful, I keep my net carbs (carbs minus fiber) under 20g/day.

I do 20-25 Net carbs per day.

I seem to have to stay under 10 net carbs to get anywhere. Also, high fat... and only moderate protein. If I eat too much protein it also throws me out of ketosis.

i am doing 10 net carbs per meal snack 2x5 or 1x10 carb - is working well for me

Personally I think your better off if you just go straight carbs and not net carbs try 20 or 25

Net carbs don't work for me either...I have to stick with under 20 g of total carbs per day. I also look at the proportion of calories from fat, carbs and protein. I try to stay around 65% fat, 5% carbs, 30% protein, and under 1500 calories.
