Getting up at 0445 and getting into a routine again has been a bit challenging. I am in bed at night before 10pm. I get an hour nap on the bus on the way in to work but I wonder if that does me more harm than good. On a positive note, I like the people I am working with and I'm learninga lot. I think I made the right decision in getting a new job.
At lunchtime, I go across the street to the health club to eat. The food there is amazing. I am guessing somewhat on calories and carbs but the veggie selections are mouthwatering. I had an avocado/ jicama salad yesterday that was fantastic. And braised fennel with vegetables. Also quite yummy! I have never had fennel before then.
I feel TOM coming on. I didn't even weigh myself this morning for that reason. I know it will pass so there is no reason to get myself in a tizzy over some water weight.
I'll just keep plugging away at it. It'll come! 5.5 until One-derland!

Don't worry Sherill it takes your body a little while to get used to a new routine, will be feeling normal soon. Wow so close to one-derland!!! Keep going!!! - side note really jealous I want a health club across the street from my work......I have a greasy burger van....blah!!!

I never had fennel before and it was marvelous. Almost a slight licorice flavor. Does that sound right or was it something they had it spiced with?

That's totally right. They also call it anise celery and smells really good fresh. And it makes a really good juice with carrots and beets for TOM disorders. lLove it! I may have to go get some, Sherillynn.

Now I'm going to want to have it all the time! There is a little cafe in the health club at work. It is busy all the time. They have all of these fresh salads each day and usually one or two proteins. The food is very different. I've been going there for lunch daily and the selection makes me never want to pack my lunch again! And to think they serve good food at work! I'm getting spoiled!
