So I've been thinking... How is it that I can gain 3-4 lbs. over the weekend if I take my eyes off my eating for a second but to lose it takes 2 weeks! HOW FRUSTRATING!! I am really starting to think that the 1400-1500 calorie a day diet may be in my best interest. It's a sane way to entertain eating correctly and still lose 1 - 1.5 pounds a week. Maybe it would be something that was truly more manageable. Why couldn't I have an addiction that I could just stop, instead of something I have to do no matter what...

I hear ya! I think you have to experiment what works for you (of course in a wholesome way) and then keep at it. I think what you're expressing is the way most of us feel. Good Luck, don't give up.
