That's okay. Don't get discouraged. You didn't gain and that's what's important. Now you might want to consider the following to help break the stall: #1. Take a hard look at your dietary log from the past 7 days. Does anything stand out as a red flag that might stall your progress? If you're low carb, sometimes there are hidden carbs you may not be aware of. Are you consuming enough dietary fats to satiate your appetite without consuming an over abundance of calories? (Yes, even on a low carb diet calories count. Just not as much, but if overdone, you can stall). Also, if you are consuming extremely large amounts of protein you can stall on a low carb diet as well. #2. Are you drinking enough water? This is crucial on any diet program because if I remember correctly, if your kidneys are not supplied with adequate amounts of water, they will not work at full capacity. If this happens, the liver will try to pick up the slack for the kidneys, therefore the liver cannot fully do it's own many functions, one of which is to help burn fat. #3. Are you excersizing relative to your present physical ability? Many times people will start out slow when just getting back aquainted with regular excersize. This IS recommended, and should be the only way to succeed safely. However, after some time your body gets used to the level of excersize that you've been doing, and it needs to be slightly challenged to further continue progress. These are just some things to think about and look at if you're concerned about a stall. I am by no means a professional when it comes to this type of advise, so please seek a professional consultation before taking any of this advice, and ALWAYS consult with your physician before starting or changing any diet and excersize program. Good luck.
