After gastric bypass I lost a LOT of hair! It's one of the side-effects they warn you about, but it's still quite a shock when it happens. I started taking biotin and it helped, but when I started taking collagen, WOWZA, in a couple months I had a whole crop of new hair coming in! Great stuff!!

WytchHazyl - thank you for reporting your experience. This gives me hope. I see through SelfDecode DNA reports I am Gluten and Lectin intolerant- no mor grains or bens for me. I have trouble absorbing vitamins. I upped my protein to .7 per lb - this helped tremendously. Abstaining from the food allergens should have my stomach inflammation calm down.

Liv001 Yes Jello is collagen. The goat milk powder is in replacement of half and half for me. If I eat cow's milk, the weight comes on like a tsunami. I went to meditation training for six months and stayed about 140 lbs. When I got back home, I thought it was a good idea to try some variety...so I got some Raw Milk delivered - from good friends of mine. I gained 25 lbs in six weeks. Then couldn't get it off. Goat milk doesn't do thi, because I love coffe with some cream. Coconut cream not the same.

Do you have a DIY suggestion..book, video? Some nights I have trouble turning my brain off, and thrash around trying to get to sleep.

I took a meditation class but I just kept mentally running through my grocery list and to-do list.

AC Leggtt and Kenna - Yes the mind is always seeking greater happiness. Mostly we associate happiness with the sences. So what can we do? We turn our attention to the permanent. What is permanent? The Highest Source for Good - for the Good of all. Some call it God, The Force, Nature whatever works for you. As long as the name has no negative connotation. Think _________ loves me. Think this each timenotice .

Does this make sence? Just think this phrase "___________ loves me". Whenever you notice your thoughts drifting. If my concept for the highest good is Nature, I would think "Nature loves me" No forcing, no matter how long or short between thoughts. Thoughts come and go. Just gently introduce this one new thought. You can practice this anytime. Eye closed or eyes open and awake.

I had good luck with stray thoughts in meditation by visualizing my thoughts as children floating in inner tubes on water around me. I'd push them away with a gentle, "Not now."

Writingwyo - I am glad this works for you. Sri Ramana Maharshi used a technique where he would ask himself "Who am I" over and over. He also said, practice is what makes the difference - not "talking about" I guess that same principle works for FS!
