Ceebee's Journal, 19 April 2011

Well I stayed the same. I am glad of that.. cause even though I had a plan for the weekend.. I kinda went off the deep end. I also had way too much sodium yesterday. I tried to drink extra water.. but it kinda fell by the wayside. I still feel a bit swollen from it. My fingers feel fat. Yesterday I went to 2 exercise classes. They were both fun. I had my reformer class in the morning. I upped the resistance on alot of moves and my arm/arm pits are sore from that. Then in the evening I went to a pilates mat class. It was good but the lady is a bit chatty so sometimes we dont get in as much exercise. Yesterday was a chatty day. But that worked out for me because I was already kinda worn out from the morning class. (taught by the same lady) I really do like her. Today I shall just dance it up with my 4 year old and ride my bike.

I am trying to keep my calories at about 1400 for this week.. Cause I know I will indulge a bit on Sunday. I dont plan on going hog wild.. but I figure an extra 700 to 900 calories in my back pocket wont hurt. I am going to make baked manicotti because I saw it on my fave cooking show. I want to have some but I dont want to make it for just our family of four because I will eat 1/2 of a 9X13 tray. So I will take it for Easter and enjoy a serving and share it with 20 other people. :) So there will be a normal Easter dinner of ham and fixings.. and my baked manicotti. :) I usually do the desserts. My mother in law is celebrating her birthday on Easter as well.. So she will let me know what she wants for her "cake". She is coming over tomorrow to look at my cook books so she can decide. I will make cupcakes for the kids. I bought bunny marshmallows and we will make nest's out of coconut and jelly beans and bunny marshmallows on "grass". The kids help me with the cupcakes for every holiday. Then the adultish desert will be decided by my MIL. I also plan on making a safe appetizer. Like a veggie tray or something. We shall see.

I'm sure a couple days of drinking plenty of water will drop that sodium weight quickly. Sounds like you have a yummy weekend ahead of you! And it seems like you're bringing half the food! I don't know how you can make all that without eating half of it in the process. I know I would. Good idea on the veggie tray. You always seems conscientious of making sure you have good choices for yourself; that's awesome. :) Happy Tuesday!

It's hard sticking to your diet around the Holidays - especially the chocolate-fest known as Easter. You've such good long term progress that I'm sure you will hold the line on Easter Day.
