My Official first injury from exercise occured last night.

Last Night's Workout Session:

30 minutes of speed rope.

My workout ended with some pain in the ball of my right foot, seems to be an enflamed tendon, despite my every effort to properly warm up and stretch. Had to happen eventually I suppose.

I will be modifying my leg workout for tonight to nurse my foot. Looks like no squats this week :(.

You’re not alone my friend. I am all banged up from working out. My elbow tendons are what I am trying to heal now. I inflamed them from doing too many chin ups and heavy rows. Just take it easy for a while and it should clear up. I stopped the chin-ups and went higher rep and lower weight on my rows and it seems to be helping. Hope ya heal up quickly Chad.

Thanks Brent, The foot is already feeling better, lots of water and stretching seems to be doing the trick. Going to play it by ear, I'm just very disappointed because tonight was supposed to be the first night of 4 weeks of 5x5.. :(

Sorry to hear about the injury. It's a constant battle for me too. Feet, knee, elbows, hips, shoulder, you name it. Best thing is to change it up and rest it up. You'll be back good as new.

Glad it's getting better already! The 5x5 programs kicked my butt. Too many squats for my old knees. You doing the strong lifts or starting strength program or a custom 5x5? I went with Greyskull Linear Progression for my program. I like it a lot. Similar to the other 5x5 programs but this one is a 2x5 then one set to failure for all the major lifts. You squat Monday and Friday and do deads on Wednesdays. I have made some good progress with it. I deadlifted 250lbs x 10 last week! Check it out if you start to get bored with the straight up 5x5 programs.

Going to follow the same split that Ive been doing and just converting all of the compound lifts to 5x5 rather than 5x15. I'm hoping to come back to the 5x15 plan at the end of the 4 weeks and be able to add 10-15% to each lift. We will see.

congrats on your PR. I havent gone heavy on deads in a while, so I more than likely lost what I had.
