So a night spend with friends enjoying various Italian dishes, bread and butter and more Sangiovese than one person should drink adds a pound one day to the next? I'll take it! Now back to the drawing board and get this pound off and then work on getting below 200 by Monday!

You know I used to beat myself up for having one night like this. Now I just have the mindset of, it was one day I didn't get right among 30 days in a month. Professional athletes would love those percentages don't you think. Have you beat yourself up in the past about this?
202.4 lb Lost so far: 66.6 lb.    Still to go: 37.4 lb.    Diet followed poorly.

We beat ourselves up way to much. It's okay to have fun and enjoy life.

I was in the same boat this weekend, I went up 1 pound from Saturday to Monday after splurging. I was good yesterday and drank lots of water and was down that same pound this morning! It's probably just water weight for you as well and will come off quickly. Like you said, sometimes it's worth it and the good days balance it out. I used to beat myself up after a bad splurge, but you have to enjoy life sometimes!

I love your new avatar: Exercise to be fit, not skinny. Eat to nourish your body and always Ignore the haters, doubters and unhealthy examples that were once feeding you. You are worth more than you realize.

Thanks for the support everyone. One of my main goals, other than the obvious, is hopefully touching your lives somehow. I try to do it in a concise way but being an aspiring writer, it's quite difficult to keep it short but I will try. I hope something I share, a quote, a personal thought or experience, will be read by one of you and maybe get you over that hump. You could be experiencing the exact same thing as I and simply knowing you are not alone will be that little nudge you need to continue your success. Deb_N the more I eat healthier and the more I work my body, the more I see food for what it actually is, a fuel for our bodies. Yes, it's totally delicious at times but when I drink that energy drink that tastes good but a strawberry shake would taste awesome, I feel my body recover faster after a strenuous workout. I feel more energy as a result of putting in 91 Octane instead of a watered down 87 Octane, if you can appreciate the analogy. Thanks again for the support and I hope I bring some value to your lives.

I think it is ok to give yourself a hug and have one binge date a week if you follow your meal plan religiously the whole week. Also eat protein rich breakfast with insoluble fiber. Do 2 minutes muscle contraction excise such as air squats before each meal and 2 minute 1 hour after the meal. That will control the damage...
