Sad that it is Friday already. Late to bed as it was after 9 when I came home and was hungry, my last meal was noon. Made a meal type salad. Dogs woke me up at 6:30 so 8 hours of sleep. My body does like it's 8 hours of sleep.

Need to get moving on this again cool misty morning. Weather seems to say stay in be lazy. Forecast said no rain, now it's back in the forecast. 95% humidity and supposed to be 85 with thunderstorms this afternoon. Well no painting outside, the garage will have to do. Trip for paint this am, if 2 stops do not result in cheaper prices on paint, will switch from silver metallic to aluminum metallic as it's $3.50 a can. Stores don't open till 9:00.

This stairway project may carry over for a little while as tomorrow is granddaughter's jr high softball tournament, which will probably eat up most of the day. I'm not as far along as I would like to be. Such is the way of remodeling projects, one just has to be patient.

Need to get the internet TV set up as well. Looks pretty easy to do.

Softball this late in the year or early in the school year? Wahhh.. both of my gsons are going out for the team but they don't do that until spring here. And if you finished all of your projects timely, you'd just be creating more.

Fall softball for the girls, one playing volleyball, one a cheerleader, 3 boys in football. Then it will be basketball. I need a second car that gets about 100 miles per gallon, or electric, can't afford either. I'll probably have some sort of project, would like my house done though. Toolong f time finding paint, needed lunch. Now time to get busy.

Paint hunt took 2 hours. Did buy coconut sugar, some toasted Israeli couscous, and some nice whole wheat noodles at cargo largo, the only paint was bright orange: not my plan LOL... I have started checking their food aisles as you never know what they will have, lately lots of interesting things. In reading coconut sugar is the same as the palm sugar that is available in most Hispanic and some oriental markets. It is good in tea. Not sure if much better for you than regular sugar but usually less chemicals in the processing, will have to check that out. 2 nd coat of paint done, the rest of the treads sanded. Now to sweep out my messy garage so I can set up boards to paint and dry the treads on and not kill myself tripping over things... My house looks like a workshop!!! It will take me a whole day just to clean up the mess!!! Good thing I don't do this for a living. In my travels I did find some neat Roman shades at home depot, might use something like that to replace these frustrating plantation blinds that came with the house.

Dang the day is going by too fast. Treads have a first coat, paint is a lighter shade than I thought, that's ok. The enclosed stairway needs lightness. Initially it was really dark paneling, dull blue carpet, black metal. I have photos but need a real computer to post them. The humidity is over 90%, it will take them awhile to dry. The metal inside is about ready to sand the drips, and do the last coat. Have to get the actual stairway done before finishing the rest. I need anther week!! Good thing I'm not paying someone to do the it would be big bucks, of course they would be faster LOL...
