I read in the forum that low carb intake is where it is at. I looked at my carb intake and it was at 127. If it should be under 20, I am way over. There are a lot of carbs in coffee even or maybe it is the creamer. Yogurt is another guilty party. Why does weight loss have to be so difficult when weight gain is so easy?

The best diet plan is one you can stick to! If you can't do a low carb diet try something else! Best wishes to you! :)

Pawsome is right, most important is to choose a way of eating you can stick to, not a temporary "diet" that causes you to gain back the weight once you go back to your old way of eating. personally, i do follow a low-carb way of eating and have for many years. if you decide this is the way to go, you'll first need to educate yourself on the correct and nutritious way to do it. look into various low-carb plans (atkins, south beach, etc) and see what will work for you. ditto for any other way of eating you decide to follow. once you find the right path for you, it won't be so hard! good luck!

Totally agree as well: you need to choose a plan that you will be able to stick to in the long run!!! low carb or not you need to be able to stick to it for the rest of your life: if you find that low carb is not for you: no problem, there are many other plans out there!!!

Totally agree. If you do low carb follow it completely. Whatever works for you, do your research and see what might fit you the best. Don't be afraid to change if it doesn't. Sustainable for life is the best. Me for example, yoyo with low carb. Tried it again when doc gave an ultimatum lost some, about 20pounds but couldn't stick with it. Started thinking how I like to cook and eat ended up with limiting calories and going back to the whole foods I enjoy. Have now lost a total of 60, feel great, doc is happy.

Pawsome that's awesome, lol! The best diet IS the one that YOU can stick to and is sustainable for life. I do a moderate low carb on Weight Watchers. I exercise a lot and need the good carbs for energy. I go for low glysemic foods. And everything in moderation. I don't want to be like the women on the Titanic who passed up dessert and than it sank, lol! Do what is best for you!
