Asarver's Journal, 01 September 2014

My stomach is still bothering me, and I couldn't seem to eat much. I kind of regret eating dinner because I feel like it made it hurt worse.

On top of that, I got my period today and the cramps were pretty bad this morning. At least I still got a bunch of laundry done!

Is it heartburn if the middle of your stomach is hurting (like right under your lungs, across where your waist is? It feels like heartburn in my stomach, which is weird.

I returned some things back to the doctor's lab for tests, so hopefully the have results tomorrow (and a diagnosis with it).

On another note, I was hugely craving pizza all freaking day today. I don't like the whole 'one cheat day' a week thing. This slow carb diet is hugely restrictive (no pasta, no bread, no dairy, no snacks - besides nuts), and I can't possible eat all of the things I've been missing all week in one day. I've been craving for pizza for two weeks now, and last weekend I was at my parents house (no one likes pizza really), and this weekend we had to eat with my in-laws for lunch and dinner (I was not aware of this until the day of!). I have chocolate from Belgium sitting in my fridge I want to eat (especially because of TOM) and I'll be upset if it's all gone before I can even have any of it.

I don't feel "accomplished" because I didn't have pizza, I feel upset and frustrated and defeated. The one thing I absolutely hate about dieting is having to restrict foods I absolutely love. I love eating and I don't want to spend the rest of my life being upset because I can't have something. [/endrant]

Back to work tomorrow!!

I totally get it, about restriction. It's overwhelming. Are you sure slow carb is sustainable for you in the long run? Personally, when I started cutting down on grains, I was feeling the withdrawals too. But as time went on, I noticed that I wasn't craving pizza/burgers/donuts/etc anymore. Now I crave roasted meats, lol. So I guess my tastes adapted. But you shouldn't force yourself to follow something that isn't sustainable, even if it produces rapid weight loss. Slow and steady is what sticks around longest :) I support you!

Thanks girl! I decided to try this diet for a month to see if I'm just being cranky or not. My stomach hurting isn't helping the issue any at all either. I appreciate your support!
