I don't have to kill it at every workout, but I made a pretty good attempt at beating it with a big stick.

Just one of those days where I wasn't feeling up to going to the gym. Came off of a crazy weekend. Dentist appointment in the a.m. Stomach cramps had me on the brink of going home. It just didn't seem like things were lining up for a good day.

So, I ate my lunch early (figured I'd try getting something on my stomach might help the cramping...still not sure what that's all about. I started a new pack of vitamins this morning...anyone have troubles like this?), and that seemed to help, but I still didn't feel like I wanted to go tear it up at the gym today.

But, I found a nice little routine that I figured I could get through using the medicine ball. After each 30 seconds of a movement, it was followed with 30 seconds of jumping rope. I did 4 different movements for a round and did 5 rounds for a nice little 20 minute workout. It worked up a nice little sweat and gave me a sense of accomplishment...especially on a day that I just wasn't amped to workout.

Sure could use some rest. It's too early in the week to feel this far behind the 8-ball. Lots to do this week as I prepare for my son's 7th birthday party AND the little 5K we're running with him. Oh, it will all come together somehow.

On a high note, my 19-mo old daughter asked to go "potty?" yesterday. I've started to humor her and let her sit on the potty when she does ask. Well, to my surprise we actually had SUCCESS this weekend. Here's to hoping she's one of the early trained kids out there!!!
