URRRRRGGGGGGGG..... WHY!!!!!

I am hoping that some of that is muscle because I have been doing 2 mile walks with 14 pounds on my back. I only have about hour to dedicate cardio to so I am taking it up a notch with weight instead of longer walks or the dreaded running. I am in NO shape for running... Yet.

Maybe it's the avocado but I cant give that up because I need the healthy fat and, they have to be eaten whole or else they go bad. I think it is now dedicated to lunch.

The added weight might make your muscles work harder causing the muscles to retain water. Google "why the scale lies" for insight in to water weight fluctuations.

Can you freeze avocado? I have no idea....

Actually avocados have been shown to help lose weight. You just have to keep your portions in check.

I have no idea if one can freeze avocados either. A quick search and Yes you can... either as a mash or the whole fruit. The mash has to have lemon juice to prevent the browning which I have never been able to prevent. Hmmmm....

So probably wouldn't work if you wanted to cut it up into servings then huh? hmmm...perhaps I will try to freeze slices and see what happens...I kind of have the same problem, hubby doesn't like avocado and I cannot finish a full one by myself before it goes bad...

PS, you're doing great, so don't be too hard on yourself. You've lost 55lbs!! That's amazing!! If you did want to try running, active.com has great ideas for beginnings, I hated running but tried their Couch to 5K regimen (great for beginners even if you aren't preparing for a run), totally do-able...

Oh its totally freezable just if any portion is exposed to air it needs lemon juice to keep the exposed surface from turning brown like you do with apples.

Update on the frozen avocado. DONT DO IT!!! well you can do it but I was not impressed. I thawed one last night and it lost all its firmness. when I opened it, it looked ok but it was mushy. no texture to the flesh and the darker green outside was more bitter than normal. It also did not have that "buttery" taste or consistency. It is edible though just make guacamole and add too it fresh avocado. What probably happened is it went through a chemical reaction during freezing Like Brussels sprouts do if they stay out during a frost. We did that one year and had the sweetest sprouts... Highly recommend it if you get the chance to grow them. Trust me it will probably be the only way your kids will eat them fresh.
