So I have gone through WLS and it's almost been a year. I started at 312, went down to 299, then had my surgery and lost down to 260. I gained back weight and now I'm at 268.4. WARNING-if you get this kind of surgery, make sure you are psychologically fit and you don't emotionally eat. I still eat crap even though I'm not hungry out of habit, and it's costing me to be in the predicament I am in now. I have a very low metabolic rate of 1400 (norm is 2000), so my calorie intake cannot exceed 1100 per day to actually lose weight, and I have to maintain 100+ protein a day. I'm finding it terribly difficult because things that you eat that have no calories also have no protein. So I decided to dig my heels in today and figure this all out. I have to get myself going and stop waiting for the WLS to be a magic fix. I start on Friday with a personal trainer, and I'm logging my food intake so I can see how much I am really eating. So onto a new journey....again....
