Diet going well. I've decided to try to look for a girlfriend either on the Internet or at the gym, the women I know aren't compatible with me, and the woman fourteen years older than me is not right for me. One can never have enough friends and I have so few so I will keep old friends too, and hope I will be moving as soon as I can. I've been here thirteen years and am ready to go, it won't take much to get me to be gone, just need a place that will take a dog. I like it here, but need a change - I can't see spending another thirteen years here under any circumstances... The diet is going well, last night I could have had some ice cream and didn't. I know if I move it will be to Hawaii, but right now that is on hold. The dog is holding me back, but she is so well-trained and such a good pet she should be easily adoptable if I can't afford to take her and just move out there like I did in the 1980s.

Thanks, I think it will be a move out of the area for certain now that I think about it so it will be difficult transitioning out to Hawaii when I go to rooming houses, etc. until I'm settled in and find my own place. I've reached a point in life I'm nearing 50 and I will be 47 this year and there is no way I'm staying here until my retirement years, there's nothing here but one relative that visits and another on rare occasions, so I'm saving up to leave ASAP, by the time the cold starts again I think I'll go... transitioning on the diet may be a bit difficult if I'm not cooking myself, I'll just eat less until I'm in my own place...

Maybe you can take your dog with you if you plan carefully. I think you might regret not having her with you when you do move at some point. Good luck.

It all depends - if I move before I get published to Hawaii I will possibly not have the income to take the dog. I am thinking of going this autumn, but may wait a few years and save up money instead. I really don't think I'll be here say in five years for certain, the dog is older, nine years already... I will take the dog if I have the money. I was here because of family, but they are nonexistent in my life so I am definitely leaving sooner than later as I only see an aunt and my twin sister and both maybe once every three months or so. I don't drive so I can't visit anyone and they don't care to see me, and this has been a long-term thing, so no matter even if it changes I'm moving... I know how difficult it would be moving somewhere to relocate with a dog as many places won't take them...

Hawaii would be a beautiful but expensive place to live. Maybe you should consider saving up for a few years and see what happens. Best of luck on whatever you decide. Kudos on passing up the ice cream too! :)
