There is just no way around the fact that I cannot eat pizza if I want to lose weight. Argh!

And it doesn't seem to matter at all that I worked two hours at the Food Bank and logged 4 miles in steps yesterday. Double Argh!

I feel the same way about alfredo sauce but the truth is that you can eat pizza, you just can't eat very much! I find that if I make the decision that I would rather eat an entire plate of salad than a small amount of pasta with sauce, I feel much more in control of my diet and my weight. It's not that I can't eat the food, I choose not to.

You have to give yourself at least 1 day a week (or even just one meal) where you can have the things you like; but you have to adjust for them. I wouldn't suggest eating pizza on a day where you aren't working out, but if you plan your day around having a slice or two of pizza it shouldn't be that bad.

I still eat pizza. I love pizza, but I limit it to once a week, and when I do eat it, I skip lunch and eat dinner early, have a salad with it and order the smallest pizza they have. Then I don't eat the rest of the night. It seems to work ok, I have still lost weight and don't feel deprived of my favorite food. :)
