wholefoodnut's Journal, 01 April 2014

Braved the gym today, first time since I ended up sick. Did easy on the 30 minute circuit but made it through, barely. Only 2 ab machines after. 40 minutes total instead of 1 1/2 hours. Felt good to make it that far. Body is exhausted. Made dinner, put new batteries in my weather radio, and doing this then to bed. Will do more on Friday. Will try some cardio tomorrow.

Thanks this is a lifetime journey to get and stay healthy. I figure those last few pounds will come off, just keep eating healthy and exercise. Have to build these lungs up and chase the osteo away. A bit sidetracked from being sick.

Getting there, lungs take awhile pneumonia in January now another round, add asthma in the mix and it's not instant. Been there too many times at least 15 times in the last 4 years. 50 total pounds down. I feel though like I've only made a small journey compared to so many others on this site, and so short compared to some others I know not on here. Have lots of firming up to do, still flabby, grins.

I don't know. You've lost 20% of your original bodyweight, and more than a year's worth of work. Don't sell yourself short, you've done AMAZING WORK! And, if you want, you can always keep working it until you're happy. So many people on here adjust their goals. Nothing wrong with that. I'm glad things are starting to come together with your lungs, @WFN! It will be good to have that behind you.

Thanks for your support. Just trying to get healthy, feel good, and avoid that looming knee replacement, was having trouble just walking. Doc said if I could lose 50lbs. Walk and do strength trainingy I might never have to have one. Was told after an injury in 1986 I had a 10% chance of walking with both legs and probably a knee replacement in 10years. So far I'm beating the odds. With my wt loss and exercise. No more constant pain drugs, no limping, still some balance issues but improving. Loving it!!! Lungs, endurance, and less flabbiness will happen in time..
