Hi fatsecreters!

Back from holidays, first day at work. Feels so heavy, but I can tell my brain is more "fit" and relaxed than before holidays.

Well, I forgot to weight in this morning, but did it at the end of the day yesterday and it seems the damage of the holidays is not so bad. Today I had a regular breakfast and a salad with boiled eggs for lunch, just had some almonds covered in chocolate... I guess it takes a few days to adapt to eat "clean" after the holidays. Anyway, I am feeling down today, I think it's because my mom died 3 years ago at this time of the year.
I am going swimming today, in order to both work out and give 2 hours of relax to my mind.

Weather in Germany is unbelievable: 10 Celsius and sunny. It's like springtime. And slightly warmer than Italy.

This Saturday there's a climbing competition I decided to take part to. It's not the one I have been preparing for, but it can be a good way to test how I improved over the past 6 months climbing.
I went to a climbing gym in Italy and I could feel I am a bit out of shape after the holidays. Nevermind, I will do my best on Saturday. The competition is just one hour driving from here, and some climbers buddies are joining, so also the trip is going to be fun.

I am trying to convince myself about how nice is my life, even if since a couple of days I just feel like crying. Maybe I should just find a couple of hours for myself and just cry. Sometimes it's a huge relief, and afterwards life smiles again at me.
I think it's because I tried to kind of "freeze" my emotions during the holidays at my father's house. I missed my mum and her brother, who died last summer also at age 49. Anyway, it was great to see my grandmother.

I'll give myself a few days, then I know I will feel life is great again :)

I am sorry that all of this makes the holidays a struggle. We can't dwell on the things that have happened. Life is what we make it. If we chose to overlook the negative and be grateful for the positive we can lead much happier lives. Which makes everyday easier and brighter. There may be many things we can't change in our lives but these same things have made us better and stronger people. I hope you feel better soon *hugs* Also I hope you have lots of fun this weekend! :)
