I'm sure your Mom will make up with you. Good job on not stress eating.

If our parents are used to tromping us and we stand up to them they really don't like it. Although I think it helps the parent to develop a new respect for the adult child. Give her some time and she will make up. She will get over it eventually. Once we recognize that we eat in response to stress it helps to stop the cycle...way to go!!

I hope you figure things out with her and that she realizes her error. It is hard to develop a balance with parents that still think of you as their "child". You have to do what is right for you, though. Great job keeping in control of your eating. You are worth it!

slease - my siuation is different. My mother and younger sister think they're never wrong. For example my twin sister wrongly broke up with an ex-boyfriend of many years about ten years ago for her present husband. My mother sided with my sister's ex instead of my twin sister. To make my younger sister happy. And ten years later alomost my mother is still ranting about my twin sister and has NO respect for her... so I can wait a long time I suppose for her to get over whatever. I won't overeat for that or any other nonsense going on...
