Annabelle3117's Journal, 10 November 2013

Hello my fat secreteers! I am posting about twelve hours early as I will be working a longer day tomorrow. This will prevent me from making my usual gym times, but never fear I will be going in the evening! I did not go at all over the weekend, and I feel a tad guilty about that but what can ya do.

Today is the last week in my biggest loser challenge, the home stretch so to speak. I will not be strength training this week to prevent muscle swelling. Still sticking with my forty-five minutes of hard core cardio on the elliptical (full body mode, which incorporates lower and upper body) and I'm going to add thirty minutes of lap swimming. I might go to the gym four days this week, leading up to weigh in on Friday. So far I'm down 22.2 pounds in nine weeks, hoping to get to 25 down for the ten week challenge. If I can hit that 25 pound mark I will have lost 10.3% of my body weight in ten weeks. But I'm already down over 9% and can't complain about that! Money money money money.... moooonnnneeeyy.

I had a 'cheat' meal yesterday night, although I don't know how crazy I went with it lol. I had a club sandwich and onion rings from my favorite deli style restaurant. It was delicious. I was so craving the onion rings, so I figured what the hay. I saved enough calories to compensate for the large meal, no harm no foul. I was starving when we got there, and I left almost uncomfortably full. This blows my mind because all I had was sandwich with rings and diet pop. I USED to go into that very same restaurant, have full calorie soda, half a tray of fried mushrooms, salad and that entire sandwich/rings and still have room for dessert. I guess that just goes to show how much I've changed on the inside as well as the outside.

None of the changes that I made were easy, especially in the beginning. I gave up a lot of things I thought I loved, a lot of foods, smoking etc. Sometimes going to the gym still poses a challenge when I'm not in the mood. But then I look at my before and during pictures and realize that the past eight months have probably been some of the most important months of my life thus far. Keep working towards those goals, my friends, you will be glad you did. Looking back, the things that seemed so hard were only small bumps in the road.

I hope everyone had a great weekend, and starts their Monday off on the right foot!!

That is awesome Yo...9% of your body weight...wow :) So proud of you and all you have accomplished. And don't you love how when you "cheat", you just can't eat as much as you used to...that you are in fact eating a normal serving size...so is it really cheating? Rooting for you on Friday's weigh-in :)

You just changed up what you allowed your calories for. That is ok...that is how you will be able to keep this up for the long run. I know what you mean about the smaller serving sizes being the new normal. You realize just how much too much you were eating before...but yet we thought this was what we needed to eat to be full. Silly us! Good Luck on that final weigh in. No one could have been as motivated as you!
